Description

This barn, dating to around 1400, stands 40 metres north of Minchins. It is a timber-framed structure, now weatherboarded, with a hipped red tile roof. The barn has three aisles and is four bays long, featuring an original hipped midstrey to the south. The framework is substantial, incorporating arch-braced tie beams, arcade bracing, and aisle bracing. The roof is of crown-post construction, with halved and bridled arcade plate scarfs and reversed assembly at the eaves.
