Description

Highwood Farmhouse is a house dating from the late 15th century or earlier. It is constructed with a timber frame and plastered exterior, topped with a red plain tile roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a crosswing to the east that features half-hipped roofs at the front and rear. The façade includes three windows, which are 20th-century leaded casements. There is also a 20th-century lean-to porch with a red plain tile roof. The house has 16th-century and later red brick chimney stacks, and a 16th-century inserted floor in the original open hall. Some of the timber frame is exposed internally.
