Description
This is a late 16th or early 17th century house located on the west side of Newbiggen Street in Thaxted. The building is timber-framed and plastered, with a red plain tile roof, hipped at the north end. It is two storeys high and has a two-window range with modern casement windows. A central brick chimney stack, originally red, remains. The front of the house has modern patterned pargetting.
