This is a 17th-century timber-framed and plastered house located on the south-east side of Grove Hill in Stansted Mountfitchet. It features a wing that projects slightly to the north, appearing as a separate dwelling. The house is two storeys high with attics, and has a three-window front (a 2:1 arrangement). The windows are modern casements with leaded lights. Boarded doors provide access. The roofs are tiled, with a central chimney stack containing one hexagonal shaft and one attached shaft.
