Description

Hempland Cottage is a 17th-century timber-frame house located on the south-east side of Low Street in Wortwell. The house has been plastered externally and is topped with a thatched roof featuring gabled ends. A brick chimney stack is situated off-centre. The front, which faces the road, is one storey high with an attic. It has one small casement window and a small shuttered opening to the left. A single-storey wing with an attic is situated at the rear. An attic window is visible in the gable end.
