Description

Forres Cottage is a 17th-century timber-framed and plastered house located on the south side of Henham Church Street. The building has two storeys, with a lower wing to the west that has one storey and attics. The main block features a two-window range with double-hung sashes that include glazing bars, and it has a central gabled porch. The wing is fitted with leaded casements. The roofs are tiled, and the main block has hipped ends at both the east and west, with a steep pitch. Notably, there is an original hexagonal shafted chimney stack on a large square base at the west end.
