Description

The Georgians is an 18th century red brick house located on Newport High Street. It features a parapet and a moulded brick cornice. At each end of the front, there are brick pilasters with moulded brick capitals. The house is two storeys high and has three window ranges. The outer ranges consist of two-storey canted bays, with the parapet extending across them. The central window is a square oriel bay supported on brackets, and the central part of the front slightly projects forward. The windows are double-hung sashes with glazing bars. The central doorway is framed by a wood doorcase with plain pilasters and a moulded cornice. The roof is double-pitched and tiled.
