Description
Newhouse Farm is a lobby-entrance house dating from the 17th century, with extensions made in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building is timber framed and has been plastered to create a mock timber framing appearance, with a tiled roof. It consists of four bays that are aligned approximately northwest to southeast, featuring an axial chimney stack with two diagonal shafts located in the second bay from the northwest, which forms the lobby entrance from the 17th century. The shafts were rebuilt in the 20th century. There is also an external chimney stack with two diagonal shafts at the southeast end, and another external chimney stack with one diagonal shaft and a gablet at the northwest end. The house has 20th-century wooden casement windows on each floor and a tiled and gabled porch, which are also from the 20th century.
