Description

The gatehouse is a cottage dating from the mid-16th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and has a roughcast rendered exterior. The building is one storey high with an attic. It features 20th-century three-range casement windows and a gabled dormer. The roof is covered with concrete tiles, and there is a 20th-century door. An off-centre red brick chimney stack is present. Inside, the original floor joists are exposed. The gatehouse is situated on a moated site.
