Description

Old Rectory Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, with a 20th-century addition at the rear. The building is timber framed and plastered, topped with a hipped plain red tile roof. It has two storeys featuring five ranges of 20th-century casement windows. An off-centre square red brick chimney stack is present. The roof construction includes side purlins and queen struts. Inside, there is an original back-to-back fireplace and original red brick herringbone underfloor. Some original doors and catches are also retained.
