Walnut Tree Cottage and Nutshell is a pair of cottages dating from the 18th century. They are timber framed and plastered, topped with a red plain tile roof. The cottages are two storeys high and feature a lean-to at the rear. There is a five-window range with 19th-century iron casements that have small panes. One of the doors is adorned with a simple canopy supported by brackets.
