Description

1 The Cottages is a cottage dating from the 16th century or earlier. It has two storeys and features a half-hipped plain red tile roof. The building is timber-framed and plastered, with two small pane casement windows. There is a 20th-century enclosed gabled porch that has plain red tiles. A large square red brick chimney stack, which dates from the 16th or 17th century, is shared with No. 2 and appears to be a crosswing to that property.
