Description

Keelars Farmstead, located to the south of Keelars Farmhouse, is a complex of farm buildings dated 1861. Constructed from red brick with grey slate roofs, the buildings enclose the farmyard on four sides, with an entrance to the north. The western range, which borders Keelars Lane, is a single-storey structure featuring stable doors and windows, all equipped with louvres above.

To the north of the enclosed yard is a two-storey range with a roof that extends towards the road. This range has four chamfered, red brick depressed arches on the east side and three on the north side, all with stone imposts. Two of the northern archways now have vertically boarded doors, and there is a loft doorway on the north face. The building also features a moulded cornice, a semi-circular window with glazing bars, and a stone plaque inscribed with "NCC 1861" on the gable. The east face has a dentilled eaves cornice.

Inside, there is an iron driving shaft running through the ground floor. The southern single-storey range contains various open and enclosed bays, with those on the east side weatherboarded. The eastern barn has vertically boarded full-height doors leading into the farmyard and a central gabled midstrey to the east. Additionally, there are two single-storey ranges to the north, each consisting of four bays; one is open while the other is partially weatherboarded and has a door.
