Description

The property comprises a long range of buildings set end-on to The Avenue, now numbered 20, 22, and 24, The Cross, in Wivenhoe. The original section is constructed of red brick and features a gambrel roof with two flat dormers facing north. The street façade presents two pairs of small-paned sash windows, one over one, and a door consisting of six fielded panels within a pedimented case. The pediment is decorated with swags and reeded half columns. A 19th-century extension, constructed with peg tiles and extending to two stories and three windows, was later added. This extension includes some sliding sash windows on its first story.
