Description

This house, located 150 yards south of Mill Lane and adjacent to Maltings Cottage, dates from the 18th century. It is timber framed and has a brick casing, topped with a red plain tiled roof. The building features a central red brick chimney stack and consists of two storeys with attics, including two hipped dormers. Notable architectural details include a moulded brick eaves cornice and a central band. The façade has a five-window range of small paned vertically sliding sashes, each with moulded surrounds and gauged brick arches. The central entrance is a panelled door flanked by two oval top lights, with pilasters, a frieze, and a flat canopy above.
