Description

This is a house, originally a single dwelling but later divided into two separate properties, dating from the 18th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th century. It is located on the south-east side of Double Street, Framlingham. The building has two storeys and is timber-framed with a roughcast exterior, topped by a pantiled roof. A substantial brick chimney stack rises internally, built from plain red brick. The eaves have a fluted wooden cornice and the gable ends feature pierced and fluted bargeboards. The roof has a gentle pitch, suggesting the present facade projects further than the original front. Three sash windows, typical of the mid-19th century, are present, each with two vertical window bars and a hoodmould in a Tudor style. The front entrance features two 4-panelled doors, each with pilasters and an entablature. The interior contains no features of particular interest.
