Description

Brooklands is a house that originated in the late 18th century, with significant early 19th-century features and an extension added in 1985. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, primarily plastered at the time of the last survey in August 1985, and has a slate roof. The building has an approximately square plan facing northwest, which includes the 1985 additions, and features a 19th-century porch on the left side.

The house is two storeys tall. On the ground floor, there are four 20th-century casement windows, two of which are in a Gothick style with two-centred heads, along with an early 19th-century fixed light window that also has a two-centred head and Gothick tracery. The first floor contains two 20th-century casements. The central doorway has double doors with a two-centred head, dating from the late 19th century. The roof features three gables with a shallow pitch.

On the left return, there are similar double doors at the front of a large late 19th-century gabled porch, which includes a Gothick window with a two-centred head at the rear, along with more 20th-century casements. Alterations were in progress at the time of the survey, under various consents.
