Description

Parkers Farmhouse is a house that dates from the 17th century or earlier, with a front range added in the 19th century and later modifications. It features a double range with a rear section. The front range is constructed of brick and has a red plain tiled roof with end chimney stacks. The rear range is timber framed and has been plastered on the side facing Oakley Road. The building has two storeys, with a later single storey added to the rear. The timber framed section includes moulded bridging joists and jowled storey posts on the ground floor. Access to the interior was not allowed during the recent survey, but it was previously examined by J. Davey, an officer from the Historic Buildings department.
