Description
This is a pair of small cottages located approximately 10 metres south of The Fox and Hounds Public House, dating from the 18th or 19th century. They are constructed with a timber frame and weatherboarding, topped with a red plain tiled roof and featuring a central chimney stack. The cottages are one storey with attics and have rear kitchens. Each cottage has two centrally placed vertically boarded doors with simple surrounds, and there are fixed small paned windows on either side of the doors. An attic window is present in the gable. Inside, the cottages retain much of their original character, including vertically boarded doors with ironmongery, bridging and ceiling joists, and a stairway. There is also a gabled kitchen extension that includes a brick copper.
