Description

The Old Rectory is an 18th-century house located on Church Road in Little Bromely. It is constructed of red brick with a hipped roof covered in red plain tiles. Chimney stacks are present on the rear right and left sides of the building. The house stands two storeys high with attics and a cellar. Dormers are visible on the returns of the building. A parapet sits atop the structure, featuring a moulded cornice. The facade is arranged with three bays, incorporating end pilaster strips and a forward central bay with a raised parapet. The window arrangement is a 1:1:1 pattern, with small-paned vertically sliding sash windows set within gauged brick arches. A central doorway is approached by steps and features moulded pilasters, a patera, and a flat canopy supported by brackets. The recessed six-panelled door is topped by a round-headed fanlight with glazing bars.
