Description

This barn, located approximately 20 metres west of Newhouse Farmhouse, dates from the 18th or 19th century but incorporates much re-used medieval timber. It is timber framed and weatherboarded, topped with a grey slate roof. The barn features a central gabled midstrey and has lean-to extensions on both the right and left sides, each with centrally placed vertically boarded doors and red brick front walls. The structure consists of five bays and now includes hanging knees to the tie beams.
