Description
Tom Swallow Cottage is a cottage dating from the 17th to 18th century, with later alterations and additions. It features a timber frame with a weatherboarded ground floor and a plastered first floor, topped by a thatched roof. The cottage has a central red brick chimney stack and is one storey with attics. There are two eyebrow dormers and two diamond leaded two-light casements, with pentice boards above them. A central 20th-century gabled porch and door provide access. Inside, the walls have through bracing, and the ceiling displays exposed bridging joists, with flat section rafter feet visible.
