Description

No. 1 The Walls is an 18th-century house constructed of red brick. It features a red plain tiled roof with two flat-headed dormers and has red brick chimney stacks on both the right and left sides. The house is two storeys high with attics and has a three-window range of small-paned vertically sliding sash windows, which are topped with gauged brick arches. The central entrance is a four-panel, two-light door, flanked by pilasters with capitals and bases, and is adorned with a frieze that includes corner patera and a moulded pediment. There is also a rear wing.
