Description
No. 3 King Street is a house that features elements from the 18th century, although it may have an earlier origin. It is constructed of painted red brick and has a red tiled roof with two gabled dormers. There are external red brick chimney stacks on both the left and right sides of the building. The front has seven panels with gauged brick arches leading up to the parapet, and a moulded and dentilled cornice sits beneath a central painted brick band. The house is two storeys high with attics and has a seven-window range consisting of small paned vertically sliding sashes that are framed with moulded surrounds. The central entrance features a six-panelled door with reveal panels, plain half columns with bases and capitals, a plain frieze, a pediment, and dentilled soffits.
