Description
No. 10 Falcon Square is a house with a 19th-century facade that likely has an earlier origin. It is constructed of gault brick and features a hipped grey slate roof with projecting eaves and lion heads at the gutter. There are symmetrically placed gault brick chimney stacks on both the right and left sides. The building is two storeys high and has six gault brick pilaster strips with moulded capitals and bases.
On the first floor, there are five windows featuring small paned vertically sliding sashes, each with gauged brick arches and stucco cills. The ground floor has a 1:2 window range of large two-light vertically sliding sashes, which are adorned with stucco surrounds, moulded canopies, and moulded scroll brackets. The entrance includes a recessed five-panelled door with reveal panels and a semi-circular light above that has tracery. This door is framed by a moulded stucco surround with an arched head. A plaque on the eaves cornice reads "DHH 1849 JMH."
