Description
St. Faiths is a house located on Manningtree High Street. It features an 18th century facade but likely has an earlier origin, with later alterations and additions. The building is timber framed and plastered, topped with a red plain tiled roof. It has external red brick chimney stacks on the left, rear, and right sides. The house is two storeys tall and has cellars. To the right, there is a single storey range with a painted brick facade and a weatherboarded right return. The right chimney stack of the main range rises through the roof of this single storey range. The road-facing side of the house has 19th century angled bays. The main range includes a moulded eaves cornice and a four-window range of vertically sliding sashes with horns. There is an off-centre right entrance featuring a four-panel, two-light door, with moulded capitals and bases to fluted pilasters, a moulded frieze, and a moulded and dentilled segmental head.
