Description

This listing describes a pair of cottages located in Manningtree, dating to the 18th century. They are timber-framed buildings with rough rendering and a red plain tiled roof, featuring a skylight on the right side. A central chimney stack is constructed of red brick. The cottages are two storeys high with attics, and have a three-window facade. The windows are small-paned, vertically sliding sash windows, set within moulded surrounds. The left cottage has a panelled door accessed by steps, with a simple surround and slanting canopy. The right cottage also has a panelled door with steps, but its surround is moulded, with a moulded frieze and a flat canopy. Rear extensions are present.
