Description
This is a row of three cottages located to the north of Tudor Cottage in Ardleigh. They date from the 17th century or earlier, with some later alterations and additions. The cottages are timber framed and rough rendered, featuring an off-centre right chimney stack. They are one storey high with attics, and have four gabled dormers that contain two-light small-paned casements and vertically sliding sashes with glazing bars. To the left, there are two small-paned shop windows, and in the centre, a two-panel, two-light door is framed by a moulded surround, frieze, and canopy. To the right of the door, there are two small-paned windows with pentice boards above, and a vertically boarded door is located to the left and right of these windows, also with pentice boards above.
