Description

Boxley House is a house dating from the 18th century or earlier, with later alterations and additions. It is timber-framed and rough rendered, with red plain tiled roofs. Chimney stacks of red brick are visible on the right and left returns. A rear range is weatherboarded with some brick facing. The house has two storeys and a two-window front, featuring casement windows with small panes. A central, red-tiled, enclosed gabled porch has a vertically boarded door with an original metal viewing grille. Internal walls exhibit through bracing. Attached to the rear wall is a 19th-century cast iron pump, inscribed "Parry 3." A Sarah Ingram, widow, resided at the property in 1796.
