Description

Old School Cottages is a row of three cottages dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. They are timber framed, with mostly modern cement render and some areas of plasterwork, topped by a pantiled roof. The cottages are single storey with an attic and feature a three-window range with various casements. Number 2 has an original three-light window with square leaded panes. There are three gabled dormers, two of which contain original square leaded windows. The cottages have two internal stacks; one runs parallel to the roof ridge while the other is positioned at a right angle, each with three short flues arranged diamondwise. The entrances include two boarded doors and one half-glazed door. The roadside gable displays two three-light windows featuring pointed glazing bars in the upper lights.
