Description

This headstone, located approximately 18 metres south of the south porch of the Church of St. Nicholas, dates from 1788 and 1801. Made of stone, it features a scrolled head and sides. The design includes a central winged cherub, a willow tree to the left, and a mourning woman kneeling before an altar with a fluted urn to the right. The inscription reads: "Elizabeth Milbank an agreeable young lady taken from her friends 17, May 1788 in the 19 year of her age. Also Mrs. Mary Milbank 1801."
