Description

This is a barn located at Vicarage Farm, approximately 100 metres northwest of The Old Vicarage. It dates from the 17th or 18th century and features a timber frame with weatherboarding and a brick plinth. The roof is covered with red plain tiles and has a central gabled midstrey with outshots on both the right and left sides to accommodate granaries. The barn has a side purlin roof that is pegged at the ridge, with arched braces supporting the tie beams and arched through bracing extending to the walls. The top plate has a halved and bladed scarf joint, and the structure consists of five bays.
