Description
Lower Vicar's Farm barn, located approximately 15 metres north of the farmhouse, dates back to 1730, as indicated by an inscription on the tie beam. The barn features 20th-century weatherboarding over a timber frame, which is set on a base of flint and brick. It has a gabled roof made of corrugated iron and a four-bay plan. The barn includes double entry and a plank loft door on the left side. Inside, there is a four-bay collar-truss roof with curved under-principals, clasped purlins, and jowled and braced posts. The rafters are staggered and split, pegged at the ridge.
