Description
The Old White Hart is a house built in the late 18th century, with an extension added to the left in the early to mid-19th century and alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed of red and vitreous chequer brick, while the rear part is rendered. The building features a hipped tile roof and brick chimneys, and it has two storeys and a cellar with three bays.
The two original bays have 20th-century paired barred wooden casements, with the ground floor left retaining a gauged brick head, while the remainder have 20th-century heads. The central entrance consists of a flush-panelled door set beneath a depressed gauged brick arch and a blind tympanum. The 19th-century bay to the left includes ground floor windows with 5-pane and 4-pane sashes that have cambered heads, and a 4-pane sash window above. There is also a later chequer brick extension to the right, which features a 20th-century 4-pane sash window.
