Description

Stow Cottage is a cottage that was originally a pair, dating from the 18th century with later alterations. The building is timber framed and weatherboarded, topped with a red plain tiled roof that has an outshot at the rear. It features a central red brick chimney stack. The cottage has one storey and attics, with a single-storey extension to the right, made of similar materials, and a right external red brick chimney stack. The front has a 2:1 window arrangement of small paned vertically sliding sashes with moulded surrounds and pentice boards above. There are vertically boarded doors on both the right and left sides. Inside, there are chamfered bridging joists, through bracing to the walls, vertically boarded doors, a brick fireplace with side cupboards, and one original staircase.
