This is an 18th-century barn located approximately 85 metres south-east of Tolleshunt D'Arcy Hall. The barn is timber framed and weatherboarded, with a roof made of corrugated asbestos. It has seven bays aligned roughly north-south, featuring a midstrey to the west. The base wall is constructed of red brick in English bond. The walls include primary straight bracing, bolted knees to the straight tiebeams, and face-halved and bladed scarfs in the wallplates. The roof is supported by a butt-purlin structure.
