Description

This barn, located approximately 60 metres west of Great Totham Hall, dates from the 18th century. It is timber framed and weatherboarded, with a roof clad in corrugated asbestos. The structure features two gabled midstreys and a lean-to extension situated between them. Inside, there are six large bays, with hanging knees supporting the tie beams and a side purlin roof. The walls are reinforced with curved through braces. The left bays contain a floored granary. This barn is a good example of its type and holds group value with the nearby Hall, Church, and Vicarage.
