Description
This farm outbuilding, located approximately 15 metres southwest of Stock Hall Farmhouse, dates from the 16th century with additions from the 18th and 19th centuries. The south range is timber framed and weatherboarded, featuring a red pantiled roof, while the north range has a red brick rear wall and a corrugated iron roof. The two ranges are connected, with the south range curving away from the north range, creating a stockyard between them. The south range consists of four and five bays, with the two central bays displaying halved arched bracing in the walls and a pegged side purlin roof. The north range, now serving as a cartlodge, was likely originally a pigsty, and it retains its original ventilator doors. This building, along with other nearby farm outbuildings, forms part of the farm complex and encloses the stockyard.
