Description
East Reddings and West Reddings is a house that has been divided into two dwellings. It dates from the early 16th century and has undergone later alterations and additions. The building is timber framed and plastered, with some sections featuring weatherboarding and an exposed frame on the ground floor to the right. It has red plain tiled roofs and large external chimney stacks made of red brick, with the left stack dated to 1507 from the 20th century. The house has right and left gabled wings, with the right wing having a jettied front and rear, and a central feature gable. It is two storeys high, with a window arrangement of 1:1:1 on the first floor and 1:2:0 on the ground floor, featuring square leaded casements, some of which are original and have ironmongery in 20th-century surrounds. There is a 20th-century gabled porch and door to the left. The interior is said to contain exposed timber framing and a panelled door.
