Description
High House Farmhouse is a house that likely dates from the 16th or 17th century, with 18th century red brick facing. It is timber framed, has a red brick facade, and features a red plain tiled roof. The house has three red brick chimney stacks visible at the front. It is a long one-storey building with attics and has rear wings. There are four gabled dormers and a range of four windows, which are mainly small paned vertically sliding sashes. The left and right sides have boarded doors. Inside, you can see stop-chamfered bridging joists and a heavily moulded jowl or bracket on the living room bridging joist. This farmhouse is one of the properties that make up the Prebendery of Wylands, associated with St. Paul’s Cathedral.
