Description
Hailey House is a mid-19th century house that now serves as an elderly people's home. It is constructed of painted brick and features a hipped slate roof with a thin red-brick chimney on each side. The building has two storeys and a three-window range on the front. On the first floor, there are three sash windows, each with two vertical glazing bars and a rendered arched head. The central porch is supported by Tuscan columns and has thin rear pilasters, with the sides filled in with leaded coloured glazing and boarding. The entrance door consists of four glazed panels over two flush panels, accessed by two steps. On the south-west elevation, the first floor has two sash windows with two vertical glazing bars, while the ground floor features a plain tripartite sash window, a 16-pane sash window, and cellar steps with a 20th-century cover. There are extensive 20th-century rear extensions and a painted metal fire escape located near the north-east flank. The interior has not been inspected.
