Description

This barn, located approximately 30 metres east of Bateman's Farmhouse, dates from the 18th century or earlier. It is constructed with a timber frame and is weatherboarded, featuring a half-hipped roof that is clad in corrugated iron. The barn has a brick plinth and a midstrey at the rear. It includes double vertically boarded doors and a loft door on the return side. The structure consists of five bays, with through bracing on the walls and hanging knees supporting the tie beams. This barn is a good example of its type and is situated in a prominent position alongside the road.
