Description
The granary and cart lodge, located approximately 60 meters northeast of Maldon Wycke, dates from the 18th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and is covered in black weatherboarding, topped with a hipped plain tile roof.
The south elevation features two storeys with three garage-door openings on the ground floor. The first floor includes a loading door and two high-level windows. At the rear, there is a lean-to extension.
Inside, the building has a clasped side-purlin roof and tie beams supported by large hanging knees. Originally, it was a single-storey cart lodge that was open at both the front and back, with raking braces supporting the roof plate. It was later extended and raised to two storeys.
