Description

This house, located 150 meters southwest of The Old Rectory, dates from the 16th century or earlier. It is a two-storey structure with a timber frame and plastered exterior, featuring an 'L' shaped plan. The roofs are gabled and covered with clay peg tiles. A large red brick chimney from the 17th or 18th century is situated against the south gable end and includes an inglenook. The front elevation has modern leaded light casement windows, with the ground floor windows designed as bows. At the rear, there is a lean-to and a modern open porch made from re-used timber framing, also topped with a peg tile roof. Inside, the house reveals exposed chamfered bridging joists and floor joists.
