Description

Ingolds is a house that dates back to the 16th century or earlier. It is constructed with a timber frame and has a plastered exterior. The building stands two storeys high and runs parallel to the lane. It features a gabled west end and a hipped east end, along with a projecting jettied and gabled wing that faces the lane. There is a lean-to roofed extension situated between the main block and the projecting wing. All the roofs are covered with clay peg tiles. The house has a small red brick chimney that straddles the front wing, a large gable end chimney at the east, and another small red brick chimney against the west end. The windows have been replaced with modern casements.
