Description

1 Sun Street is a building dating from 1767, located on the south side of Sun Street. It features 16th-century plaster on a timber framework and has an old tiled roof with a gable on the north elevation. The building is two storeys high with attics, and the first floor overhangs. Notable architectural details include a carved wooden angle bracket beneath the dragon beam, depicting a female figure carrying a jug. The first floor and attic have modern flush three-light casement windows, while there is a 19th-century shop window. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 1, 3, 3A, 3B, and 5.
