Description

Brook Farmhouse is a house dating from the 17th century or possibly earlier. It is timber-framed and has a rough render on the front, with weatherboarding at the rear. The roof is hipped and covered with red plain tiles, featuring gablets. A section projects to the left. The eaves are projecting. The house has two storeys and originally had a three-window arrangement to the first floor and a four-window arrangement on the ground floor, now featuring 19th-century casements with small panes. An off-centre boarded door is covered by a flat canopy supported by brackets. A red brick chimney stack is positioned off-centre. At the rear of the main house is a smaller, similar cottage with a gable-ended roof and a large red brick chimney stack on the left.
