Description
Hill Farmhouse is a house dating from the 16th century or earlier, with later additions and alterations. It is constructed from timber framing and plaster, featuring 19th-century batten decoration. The roof is covered with red plain tiles. The crosswings on the right and left sides are jettied and have moulded bressumers supported by carved brackets and pendants. At the center, there is a gabled porch with a red tiled roof, supported by timber brackets and pendants, and trellis on the sides. The entrance has a four-panel door with two lights. The house has two storeys and a window arrangement of three sections, each with 19th-century vertical sliding sashes, one of which has glazed margins. The crosswing gables have plain bargeboards with apex pendants. A fine, central, attached diagonal shaft chimney stack made of red brick is located at the center of the house.
