Description
Brick House is an 18th-century house that was altered in the 19th century. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and has a roof made of handmade red clay tiles. The house is aligned approximately northwest to southeast, with its main aspect facing northeast. It features an internal chimney stack at the northwest end and an external chimney stack at the southeast end. The building has two storeys with attics and includes a single-storey extension at the southeast end from the 19th century.
On the northeast elevation, there is a six-panel door with square middle panels beneath a shallow bracketed hood. This is flanked by two double-hung sash windows, each with six lights, which are set under segmental brick arches and date from the 19th century. The southeast extension has three 19th-century casement windows. On the first floor, there are three similar windows. A string of three courses of bricks runs at the level of the first floor. The roof features three hipped dormers, which have 20th-century casement windows.
