Description

The Maltings, comprising a section west of the railway and the south block, is part of a larger, extensive range of mid-to-late 19th-century brick maltings located south of Sawbridgeworth Station. This building is large, three-storied, and features a substantial crosswing at its northern end, alongside a smaller crosswing at the southern end. The south crosswing incorporates two oasts, distinguished by gabled projections on its north side. The window arrangements are punctuated by pilasters. The roofs are slate covered.
